I would like to give my extreme thanks to Principal Binz, Principal Edgin, Principal Bell, and Principal Lawrence for giving your time and advice to Tech students who are eager to follow their passion of becoming teachers. I can't tell you how much more at ease I became after your discussion with us. There is a lot of fear and anxiety that comes to me when I think about the moment when I will sit for my interview, but I absorbed all of your encouraging words and I appreciate you all for caring about us enough to speak with us and answering our questions. It also made me feel a lot better when you all reflected on how it felt to be in our position, I know that gave me peace about my future knowing that even with the nerves that I carry that I may and can one day be a successful educator like yourselves. I know it would be a privilege to get to work for all of you. Thank you so very much, we all appreciate your time and I give my best regards to your schools, your teachers, and your students for a great rest of the semester.
I would like to thank all the principals for giving up their precious time to give very helpful insight on such an amazing career. I know I'm only a Freshman, but internship and full-time teaching will be here before I know it. I felt a whole lot better hearing from you those simple words, "Relax." Believe me, I did. So thank you so much for being able to make it last week and hopefully you'll continue to come year after year.
I would like to thank Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, Mrs. Edgin, and Mrs. Binz for taking time out of your busy day and coming to speak to and encourage the future teachers coming out of Arkansas Tech. I know that this experience personally helped me out tremendously. Thank you for allowing us to hear some of your experiences and giving us advice for our future interviews. This meeting with you all eased some of my stress about finding a job. Thank you for answering all of our questions and giving up pointers on when we enter into the interviewing process. Again, thank you all for coming to visit us and sharing different aspects of becoming a teacher. You are all greatly appreciated!
Thank you Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, Mrs. Binz, and Mrs. Edgin to taking time out of your busy day to come speak to us and allow us the opportunity to learn about our futures to becoming a teacher. I had many questions that you all answered and it means the world to me that you all were able to answer them and make me feel more confident as my future begins. I really enjoyed being able to listen to your advice and your personal experiences with past interviews that could help me learn what to do and what not to do during an interview. "Relax"- This simple word meant the world to me as I remembered that everyone is going to be human during the interview process so I should be myself and relax. Again, thank you all for making time to come discuss the steps of becoming a teacher and allowing myself and others to learn what it takes to become successful!
Thank you Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, Mrs. Edgin, and Mrs.Binz for coming and speaking to us this past Thursday. I know personally for me with only having one semester left here at Arkansas Tech and facing interviews in my near future this was extremely beneficial. I now feel more prepared and will be a bit more relaxed going into this whole process. The information you gave us will stick with me and will be good advice I can pass along to others as well. I would be honored to work for any of the four schools that you all represent, all seem like a warm and welcoming place to teach students who are eager to learn. I look forward to hopefully interviewing with some of you in the near future. I am early childhood K-4, looking to hopefully become certified for 5-6 as well after graduation. Thank you all so much again for taking the time out of your busy days to come and visit with us!
Thank you Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, Mrs. Edgin, and Mrs. Binz for taking the time out of your Thursday to come and talk to the National Education Association- Student Program. I appreciate the time and insight you have given my fellow educators and I in what it takes to be apart of the education field. I enjoyed listening to the different experiences and thoughts on interviews, participation in the schools, and how we should be prepared to talk about what we would implement in our future classrooms. This benefited me in how I can be prepared to tackle the interviewing process. Thank you each for sharing what it takes to be a successful educator. This was an enjoyable experience. I would like to thank you all again for this engaging learning opportunity.
Thank you so much to Mrs. Lawrence, Mrs. Binz, Mrs. Edgin, and Mr. Bell for coming to our campus and talking to us about interviews and being hired. The information you gave us was some of the most helpful information I have received this semester. I will definitely be using all of this to help me apply for jobs and hopefully it will lead to me being hired. It was very enjoyable and insightful getting to hear from all of the different districts because they are each unique in their hiring process. I now feel more prepared for my future interviews in any district. Again, thank you so much for this amazing opportunity!
Let me add my thanks to those who have posted before me. To all of the principals who gave so generously of their time to answer our questions, thank you! Thanks are due, as well, to those who organized the event for us.
As a student entering internship next semester, learning some of the expectations of principals and the timetables involved with the hiring process was of immeasurable value. All four of our guests were supportive, encouraging, honest, and forthright with their advice. Their suggestions to find ways to differentiate ourselves from the crowd of new teachers could possibly be the most important interview information we've had to date. So, thanks again!
I would like to give a very special thank you to Mrs. Binz, Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, and Mrs. Edgin for coming to talk at the NEA-SP’s Fall 2015 Principal Panel. I know that as an organization we had such high expectations for this event, and it clearly went above and beyond our initial expectations. I can personally say that this meeting was so beneficial for everyone in attendance. Since I am about to graduate in May, I know I was nervous about what to expect when I applied or interviewed for my first teaching job. You all answered our questions diligently, giving meaningful advice that we all can carry with us after we graduate from Arkansas Tech University. It is obvious that you all help run amazing schools with amazing students. It takes people who are truly passionate about children to do that. Again, thank you for giving up time out of your schedules to motivate, inform, and advise Arkansas Tech’s future teachers. You are all appreciated in so many ways.
Thank you to Mrs. Binz, Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, and Mrs. Edgin for taking time out of your busy schedules to speak to our NEA-SP Principal's panel. I think we all appreciate more than you know the tips and advice you gave in order to prepare us for our upcoming interviews. As a student who will be entering her internship next semester, it made the whole experience a little more real! I loved that we got a little perspective from all of the levels of education. I think that it is good for us that are in Early Childhood to get some insight into the middle and high school levels as well. This experience also got me thinking about my classroom management. This was a reoccuring topic during the panel and it is something very vital to all of our classrooms. Overall, I felt that this was a valuable and vital experience for all of us in the Arkansas Tech University Education program. Thank you so much once again to all of the faculty and staff that were involved!
Thank you Mr. Bell, Mrs. Edgin, Mrs. Binz, and Mrs. Lawrence for attending NEA-SP's principals panel for the fall 2015 semester. I was so excited to hear all the advice each of you shared. It was interesting to see each of you open up to our group and converse with one another about certain topics. This experience has made me question how I would answer classroom management questions during an interview. Thank you again for taking time out of your busy schedules to speak with Arkansas Tech University education majors.
I would also like to thank Mr. Bell, Mrs. Edgin, Mrs. Binz, and Mrs. Lawrence for speaking at the Principals Panel. It was extremely helpful to hear some of your experiences and to learn more about what principals look for during an interview. I also really liked that the principals were from different levels in education and from different schools. This gave me a more holistic view of the interview process. Again, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to come talk to me and my fellow students. Megan Featherston
I would like to say a big "Thank you!" to Mr.Bell, Mrs.Binz, Mrs.Edgin and Mrs.Lawrence for taking time out of their busy schedules to come talk to us! After the Principal's Panel I feel better prepared for my upcoming job search. It was really neat to hear each of their experiences with the different grade levels. I have now gained a different outlook on what to expect in the interview process and feel much more confident! Thank you again!
This was a great panel! I was happy to learn that the need for math teachers was not a rumor. My graditude go out to Mrs. Lawrence, Mr. Bell, Mrs. Binz, and Mrs. Edgin for taking time out of their day to answer questions we had and help prepare us for what's to come. The most benifical peice of information was how early we should start applying, and to even apply if there isn't a job opening. For someone who isn't going to be graduating for another year in December, I was glad that I could apply early. The information about substitute teaching was also helpful. I had been debating whether or not I should try and earn some experience that way, and those debates were put to a stop. I know that I should definitely try to sub when I can. Thank you again for all the tips and insights!
Thank you all for taking the time to come speak to us and answer the many important questions that we had. Going into my last semester before internship I now feel more confident and directed about what I need to be doing and the things that a principal will look for in a job candidate. It was great to hear about the types of questions that I might be asked during a job interview, and I feel like I will be more prepared now. Again, thank you all for coming to speak with us, this was a very valuable experience!
